Please keep Jon Norton in your thoughts and prayers. He underwent double knee-replacement surgery on 2/15. His doctors called it a "textbook case." He will be in the hospital for a few more days and then will be transferred to a rehabilitation facility sometime over the weekend.
Also pray for his grandson, Alex. Alex underwent surgery for a heart valve defect.
Please keep all of the Nortons in your thoughts and prayers.
UPDATE: Jon is currently having rehabilitation at Helen Hayes Hospital but hopes to go home on Friday, 2/24 to begin out-patient therapy. He is experiencing some pain but says it is manageable. He thanks everyone for their kind thoughts and prayers. |

Mrs. Lois Meyer, wife of Rev. Robert Meyer who is the pastor of the Wurtsboro Community Church (Orange Classis), passed away on January 14th. She died peacefully with her family beside her. Her funeral will be held on Friday, January 20th at the Wurtsboro Church.

Prayers are asked for Dean Wolbrink, a former pastor in the Rockland-Westchester Classis, who was recently diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. Scar tissue has seriously impacted much of his lung capacity and this disease is very difficult and progressive one. He will be undergoing tests to see if he is eligible for a lung transplant. Please keep Dean and his family in your thoughts and prayers. |

Your thoughts and prayers are asked for Barbara Thompson, the Classis Treasurer of Queens Classis. Barbara suffered a severe stroke while giving her report at the recent Classis meeting last week. She is not doing well. Prayers are asked for her family during this difficult time.
